MALAGA TOUR RUNNING is an Active Tourism Company that unites our 2 great hobbies: RUN AND TRAVEL.
LA SENDA LITORAL unites the 180 km of Mediterranean coast from Manilva to Nerja and we have prepared this fantastic trip to live the adventure of running part of the Path. We will run through Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Málaga, Rincón de la Victoria and Nerja.
The places for this trip are limited, so we need you to complete the Qualification Form sincerely to know if you are really prepared to live the adventure of running on the Costa del Sol.

Travel Planning & Stages
Day 1: Meeting in the Fuengirola Hotel
We are in the Hotel of Fuengirola (weeks before the trip we will give the locations of the hotels) at 6:00 p.m. to have a meeting and meet all of us who live this adventure runner.
If you arrive in Malaga by plane and wish to be picked up and taken to the hotel in Fuengirola, tell us and we will inform you of the transfer price.
Day 2: Fuengirola – Torremolinos
Easy difficulty – 20 km
All stages start in the morning after breakfast, which is served between 08.00 / 08.30 hs.
We start by running along the promenade Rey de España where we can see the wide beaches, sculptures, restaurants and the lively city.
In some parts we will have to walk along the beach, passing between cliffs and up and down stairs, but we will always be accompanied by the Mediterranean to the right of our running. We will have some small hills up (that we can walk) and also we will go through some paved sections along the way.
From km 10, in Benalmádena, we will resume Senda Litoral and arrive at Puerto Marina, where we will see the fantastic boats and shops in the mall.
We continue to run as planned along the boardwalk until we arrive in Torremolinos and then we will go to our hotel.
From then on, everyone will enjoy the rest of the day as best wishes.
What can you do in Torremolinos:
You can enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the beach or pool at the hotel, visit Battery Park and rent a boat to navigate the great bay, also visit Casa de las Navajas known as the neo design house – Mudejar house built by a wealthy local businessman , from there we can walk down the pedestrian street San Miguel filled with restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, etc., and then reach Plaza San Miguel to be able to visit the Baroque church of San Miguel.
Day 3: Torremolinos – Málaga
Easy difficulty – 20 km
We start at the boardwalk and arrive at Guadalmar beach.
At Senda Litoral we go to a cliff and then run inside Guadalhorce’s Nature Reserve, a nature area with rabbits, foxes, otters, chameleons and many types of birds.
We will walk along roads and alleys to get to the highway where we will cross a 300 meter footbridge to the other side of the river and continue to run in the Reserve.
After a few kilometers we return to the beach and are in the city of Malaga to keep running along the promenade Antonio Banderas, the city center and Paseo del Parque to the hotel.
To start the 3rd stage the next day, we will run a Tour in the city’s historic center, where there are several of the most emblematic places of the city, though without stopping in any of the places listed below, which we recommend to visit.
What can you do in Málaga:
– You can visit Alcazaba, Roman Theater, Gibralfaro Castle, Cathedral, Malaga Museum, Picasso Museum and Birthplace Artist, Thyssen Museum, Center Pompidou, Muelle Uno, walk down to Calle Larios and Plaza de la Constitucion.
Day 4: Málaga – Rincón de la Victoria
Easy difficulty – 20 km
RUNNING TOUR start with an approximately 7 km running in the most emblematic of the historic center of Malaga and Monte Gibralfaro up to (100 meters) from there we will be able to see a nice view of the city and the Mediterranean.
We continue to run along Paseo Maritimo Pablo Ruiz Picasso next to the beach, bars and cafes to reach the Marina and continue to run down through Paseo Canadians. We start to see Raven Rock, a rock formation that is a variety of biological enclaves because it contains “Malagueña Siempreviva” (endangered species)
Once on the shore of the Rock we will continue to run along the sea to LA CALA DEL MORAL, a small town with fantastic beaches and enjoy the view through the gate of the Cantal Cliffs until Rincon de la Victoria, where finish in the fine area of our 3rd. stage.
What you can do in Rincón de la Victoria:
You can visit: treasure cave, one of only three caves known in the world of marine origin, with cave paintings, archaeological objects, etc., you can also visit the Mediterranean Archaeological Park, BIZMILIANA FORT, CHURCH OUR LADY OF CANDELARIA (in Benagalbón) etc.
Day 5: Rincón de la Victoria – Nerja (by private bus)
Medium difficulty – Hiking 20 km approx. in sierra Almijara
The bus picks us up at the door of the hotel in El Rincón de la Victoria, and after 44 km we arrive at MARO, a place of NERJA and prepare to start a hikking route in the Sierra de Almijara.
We will enjoy nature and panoramic views of the town and the sea.
A large part of the population of Nerja is from foreigners who live all year, since its weather and sunny days make it an ideal place to live.
What you can do in Nerja:
In Nerja city you can visit EL BALCÓN DE EUROPA and see a special view of the ocean and the cliffs of Maro, CALAS and BEACHES such as Burriana, Calahonda, Caletilla, Hall, Torrecilla, etc., walk through their historic neighborhoods of narrow and white houses and the popular PAINTED STREET full of shops, restaurants, and the ride of carabineros.
Day 6: End of our nice Adventure!
We have had some fantastic days together filled with SPORTS & TOURISM activities and joy on the Costa del Sol, we have also visited coastal cities, historical monuments, museums, churches, restaurants, shops, beaches and everything that everyone has chosen to do at their leisure.
After breakfast we will say goodbye and the private bus will drive to the airport if you have the service contracted, or you can visit other cities of Andalusia.
But surely many of you will return to us on another journey and we will surely offer new experiences!
